JUNIQO sells residential property at a profit

Transaction specialist sells property for 22.8 million euros in Berlin

The Berlin-based transaction specialist and asset manager JUNIQO Invest GmbH has sold residential properties in middle-class Berlin neighbourhoods at a profit. The proceeds from the sale will be used to purchase new properties.

A total of 57 residential units with an area of 4,300 square metres were sold in Berlin. The sales volume totalled 22.8 million euros. A further residential property was sold in Helmbrechts, Bavaria. Juniqo is planning further sales as part of the portfolio streamlining programme.

The sales proceeds realised were in some cases significantly higher than the purchase price calculations. Some properties have been extensively renovated by Juniqo in recent years to improve their energy efficiency, meaning that the sales prices were achievable despite the crisis situation.

‘We are currently utilising the market phase very actively to streamline our portfolio. Demand in our segment is positive and very favourable compared to the purchase prices and calculations. We are therefore selling individual properties at a profit. We also want to utilise the current opportunities on the market and further expand the portfolio. Because there is a window of opportunity that will not be open indefinitely,’ emphasises Nino Nowack, Managing Director and founder of JUNIQO Invest.

JUNIQO currently manages around 40 projects with over 1,100 residential and commercial units in its portfolio. The focus is particularly on residential property. However, commercial properties are also part of the portfolio. The total portfolio has a volume of over 140 million euros.
